Total Time:20 mins
Yield:4 pints 1x
4 large ripe peaches
1 container Goya peach nectar
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup Everclear
Peel skin from peaches and remove the pits. Cut into quarters.
Add peaches, peach nectar, cinnamon stick and nutmeg to a saucepan. Heat over medium high heat until boiling.
Remove from the heat and let cool. Transfer to a blender or food processor and puree.
If desired, pour the peach mixture through cheesecloth or a strainer to remove the bigger pieces (I don’t do this, I think it tastes better with it)
Pour in the Everclear and stir.
Divide the mixture between the mason jars.
When in sterilized jars, moonshine will keep in the freezer for 2 years or in a dark cabinet for 1 year. Once opened, it will keep for about 3 months in the fridge. If you don’t sterilize the jars, it will keep a few weeks in the fridge.
