Korean BBQ Burgers

Korean BBQ Burgers are packed full of flavor from the sweet heat of the Korean BBQ sauce, the spicy mayonnaise and the pungent kimchi.



For the Burgers:

For the Burgers:

  1. Preheat a grill to medium high heat.
  2. Combine the ground beef, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and pepper together in a large bowl.
  3. Work the seasonings through the meat being careful not to overwork it.
  4. Form into 5 patties.
  5. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate.

For the Korean BBQ Sauce:

  1. Add brown sugar through cornstarch together in a small saucepan.
  2. Whisk to combine and heat over medium high heat.
  3. Whisk occasionally, until mixture has thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat and stir in the honey. *


  1. If using mayo, spread on the top and bottom of the burger bun. Add the burger to the bottom bun and cover with a heaping spoonful of the Korean BBQ sauce.
  2. Add the kimchi on top and put the remaining burger bun on top.
  3. Serve immediately.
