Thai Turkey Burger

Thai Turkey Burgers are juicy burgers full of Thai flavors! These burgers are topped with a spicy sriracha mayo and crunchy Asian coleslaw. Serve them without or without a bun!

Ingredients

For the Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • cup Panko
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger fresh or paste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Thai red curry paste
  • ½ teaspoon fish sauce
  • 5 hamburger buns
  • ¼ cup lettuce

For the Asian Slaw:

  • ½ cup green cabbage shredded
  • ½ cup purple cabbage shredded
  • ½ cup carrots cut into matchsticks
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste or fresh
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

For the Sriracha Mayo

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha or more, to taste

Instructions

For the Burgers

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium high heat.
  • Combine all of the ingredients for the burgers into a large bowl and mix until blended. Form into 5 patties
  • Grill (or pan-fry) patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

For the Asian Slaw

  • Combine ingredients in a large bowl and toss to coat. Set aside until ready to use.

For the Sriracha Mayo

  • In a small bowl whisk Sriracha into mayo until fully blended.

To Assemble

  • Spread Sriracha mayo on both sides of each burger bun. Place lettuce on the bottom bun.
  • Add the burger on top of the lettuce and top with a heaping pile of Asian slaw.
  • Place the other half of the burger bun on top and enjoy!

Notes

Other toppings for this burger: peanut or almond butter sauce, sliced avocado and/or pickled cucumbers, radishes or onions.
