Ingredients
5slicesbacon
1small oniondiced
1clovegarlicminced
1package steam in a bag green beans
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium high heat and place the slices of bacon inside.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until crisp.
Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate.
Steam green beans according to package directions, draining water.
Remove excess bacon grease from the pan, leaving 1 tablespoon in the pan.
Reduce the heat to medium low and add in the onion, cooking for 5-7 minutes or until softened.
Add in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat.
Crumble the bacon and stir into the green bean mixture.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Olive oil can be used in place of the bacon fat if you don't like to cook your bacon in a skillet.Fresh green beans can be used in place of frozen. Cook until tender crisp before mixing into the onions and garlic.
