Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine cake mix, canola oil and eggs together in a stand mixer. Beat on low speed until combined. (Batter will be very thick.)
15.25 oz white cake mix, ⅓ cup canola oil, 2 large eggs
Add in food coloring until it reaches your desired color.

Spray you hands with cooking spray and gently roll out cookies into a 1 inch ball.
Dip cookie dough into the powdered sugar and shake off the excess. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes or until just set.
Remove from the oven and gently place the heart shaped sprinkle in the center of the cookie while it is still warm. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes.

Then transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Batter will be very thick and sticky. You can refrigerate it for 30 minutes to help with this, or spray your hands with cooking spray. Heart shaped sprinkles can be replaced with drawing a heart with icing if desired.
