Equipment

  • 10 oz. glasses

Ingredients

Brownies

  • 18.3 oz brownie mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup Reese's pieces candy

Pudding

  • 3.4 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk

Layers

  • 10.5 oz peanut butter cups
  • 1 ½ cups whipped cream
  • ½ cup peanut butter chips melted
  • ½ cup Reese's pieces candy

Instructions

Brownies

  • Preheat the oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Combine brownie mix with ingredients on back of box to form batter. Spread batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle Reese's Pieces candy on top.
  • Bake according to box directions, usually 22-24 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Chocolate Pudding

  • Whisk instant chocolate pudding package with milk for two minutes in a large bowl, until no lumps remain.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use.

Trifle

  • Set aside 6 peanut butter cups from the package. Chop the remaining peanut butter cups. Set aside.
  • Melt peanut butter chips in the microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring after each until smooth.
  • If using whipped topping, remove from freezer 20 minutes before assembling. If making homemade whipped cream, prepare and refrigerate until ready to assemble.

Trifle Assembly

  • Cut up brownies into bite sized pieces and layer into the bottom of 10 oz. glasses. Make sure to layer around the edges so layers can be seen from the glass.
  • Top with 1-2 heaping spoonfuls of whipped cream, followed by 1-2 heaping spoonfuls of chocolate pudding.
  • Add a layer of chopped peanut butter cups, followed by a layer of brownies.
  • Then add more whipped cream, drizzle melted peanut butter on top and sprinkle more Reese's Pieces candies on top. Garnish with a whole peanut butter cup.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Trifles can be assembled, covered and refrigerated 1 hour before serving. After that trifle ingredients may seep into each other and will not create the layered look, but are still edible.
