Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 inch cake pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
1 ¼ cup all purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon cardamom, ½ teaspoon ground ginger, ½ teaspoon salt
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add butter and sugar and beat until smooth.
6 tablespoon unsalted butter, ¾ cup sugar
Add in egg, followed by the vanilla extract, blood orange juice and zest.
1 large egg, 2 tablespoon blood orange juice, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoon blood orange zest
Alternate adding the flour mixture and the yogurt until combined.
6 oz vanilla Greek yogurt
Pour into the prepared cake pan and bake for 35 minutes or until golden and set in the middle.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
