Servings 4 pints

  • 4 large ripe peaches
  • 1 container Goya peach nectar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 cup Everclear

  • Peel skin from peaches and remove the pits. Cut into quarters.
  • Add peaches, peach nectar, cinnamon stick and nutmeg to a saucepan. Heat over medium high heat until boiling.
  • Remove from the heat and let cool. Transfer to a blender or food processor and puree.
  • If desired, pour the peach mixture through cheesecloth or a strainer to remove the bigger pieces (I don't do this, I think it tastes better with it)
  • Pour in the Everclear and stir.
  • Divide the mixture between the mason jars.

When in sterilized jars, moonshine will keep in the freezer for 2 years or in a dark cabinet for 1 year. Once opened, it will keep for about 3 months in the fridge. If you don't sterilize the jars, it will keep a few weeks in the fridge.
