Welcome to Cookaholic Wife!
*Note, 9.15.18: This blog used to be hosted on Blogger and when I converted over to WordPress I lost a lot of my old recipes from 2009 to 2011. Eventually I'd like to bring those recipes back as they were the start of my blog, but it will be a slow process. Please email me at [email protected] or submit a contact request through the contact page if there is an old recipe you are looking for.
As a kid, one of the professions that interested me was being an author. I've always loved to write, whether it was stories or poems or even keeping a journal. I have tons of notebooks and binders that I turned into journals. I could write for hours. I was also a really shy kid and didn't like talking to people I didn't know. Somewhere around 8th grade, I 100% got over that phobia and I pretty much haven't shut up since. I did the announcements in high school and even read at graduation. I was super excited to take speech class in college. It greatly amuses my family that the really quiet one now has no issues at all speaking in front of people.
In addition to being able to talk a lot, I'm also very sarcastic, which doesn't come across very well online. Why haven't they created a sarcasm font? It's time I tell you. I'll try to reign in the sarcasm online since it's so hard to read, but it case it slips through, just know that's my usual way of talking.
Why a food blog? It sound like fun. No, honestly that is my reason for creating one. I like to cook and bake. It's cheaper to make dinner than to buy it, so if I'm already going to be doing it, I may as well combine my ability to talk a lot with recipes and share them in one place. I hope you've come across my little corner of the internet and either take amusement in the sarcasm that slips in or my recipes. And feel free to say hi!
